Crescent Nest Referral Program Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to the Crescent Nest Refer a Friend Program. By participating, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Eligibility
The referral program is available to individuals aged 18 years or older who have a valid email address.
The person sharing the referral link is the Referrer. The person receiving and using the referral offer is the Referred Friend.
Employees, contractors and representatives of Crescent Nest may not participate unless otherwise approved.
2. How the referral program works
The Referrer must register through the Crescent Nest referral page to receive a personalised referral link.
The Referrer can share this link with friends, family or personal contacts who may be interested in Crescent Nest. Referral links must not be distributed through spam, misleading advertising, paid advertising or coupon-code websites.
3. Offer for the Referred Friend
A Referred Friend will receive $20 off their first eligible Crescent Nest order of $100 or more.
To qualify:
- The Referred Friend must be a new Crescent Nest customer.
- The order subtotal must be at least $100 after other discounts and before shipping costs.
- The Referred Friend must use the referral link or associated referral code when placing their order.
- The offer is valid for one use per Referred Friend.
- The offer cannot be exchanged for cash or store credit.
- The offer cannot be combined with another discount code unless Crescent Nest states otherwise.
Shipping charges, gift cards and any excluded products do not count towards the minimum spend.
4. Reward for the Referrer
Once the Referred Friend completes a qualifying purchase, the Referrer will receive a $10 discount reward with no minimum spend.
The reward:
- Is valid for one use only.
- Must be used through the email address associated with the referral account.
- Cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
- Cannot be combined with another discount code unless Crescent Nest states otherwise.
- May be subject to an expiry date displayed in the reward email.
If the eligible order value is less than $10, the reward will be limited to the value of the eligible products purchased. Any unused balance will not be carried forward or refunded.
5. When rewards are issued
Referral rewards are issued after the Referred Friend’s qualifying order has been successfully placed and verified.
No reward will be issued if the qualifying order is cancelled, refunded, returned, declined or found to be fraudulent. If a reward has already been issued in relation to such an order, Crescent Nest may cancel the unused reward.
6. Multiple referrals
A Referrer may refer more than one friend and may receive a separate $10 reward for each qualifying referral.
Each Referred Friend must be a genuine new customer and complete their own qualifying first order. Unless expressly stated otherwise, multiple rewards cannot be combined in one transaction.
7. Self-referrals and misuse
Self-referrals are not permitted. This includes referrals between accounts controlled by the same person or created using different email addresses, payment details or identities to obtain additional discounts.
Crescent Nest may withhold or cancel rewards where it reasonably believes there has been:
- Fraudulent or misleading activity
- A self-referral
- Creation of duplicate or false accounts
- Unauthorised commercial promotion
- Spam or unsolicited messaging
- Any attempt to manipulate or misuse the referral program
8. Sharing referral links
Referrers must only share referral links in a lawful, appropriate and respectful way. Referrers must not represent themselves as an employee, agent or official representative of Crescent Nest.
Referrers are responsible for sharing links only with people they know or who have consented to receive the communication.
9. Changes to the program
Crescent Nest may change, suspend or end the referral program where reasonably necessary. Changes will apply from the date they are published on the Crescent Nest website.
Any valid reward already earned before a change will remain available according to the conditions communicated when it was issued, unless the reward resulted from fraud or misuse.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected through the referral program will be handled in accordance with the Crescent Nest Privacy Policy.
The Referrer should not submit another person’s personal information without their permission. The referral link should be shared directly by the Referrer.
11. General
Crescent Nest’s decision regarding eligibility and referral rewards is final, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights available under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable consumer laws. The Fair Trading Act prohibits misleading conduct, false or unsubstantiated representations and certain unfair practices.
